Getting started with ELEX WooCommerce Discount per Payment Method Plugin

To get started with the plugin, follow the steps below:

1. Download the ELEX WooCommerce Discount per Payment Method plugin from its product page or WordPress.
2. Log in as the WooCommerce admin of your online store.
3. Go to Plugins > Add New to upload the downloaded ZIP file of the plugin.
4. Activate the plugin.

Once the plugin is installed and activated, you can go to the Dashboard > Plugins > Installed Plugins > ELEX WooCommerce Discount per Payment Method Plugin > Settings. 

Now let’s get down to configuring the plugin.

By default, there won’t be any payment method listed to apply the discount. You need to choose the required ones to apply the discount.

All active payment methods in the Payments tab on your WooCommerce store will be available to apply a discount.

To apply a discount to specific payment methods, click on “Add New Discount.” Then select the payment method, choose the discount type, and choose percentage or fixed amount, enter the discount value, add a discount label, enable the discount, and click “Save Changes.”

To create additional discounts, simply click the “Add New Discount” button again.

You can configure multiple payment methods and assign different discounts to each one based on your requirements.

Please note that you can use the “–” button under Remove to delete any discount rule you have already created. By default, a newly added payment method discount will be enabled automatically. However, you can disable it at any time based on your needs.

Under the Discount Label, you can customize the label that will be displayed for the discount at checkout. By default, it will appear as ‘Payment method discount.’

For example, if you apply a 50% discount to the Cash on Delivery payment method and set the label as “Discount,” it will appear on the checkout page accordingly.

In this case, 50% of the cart subtotal is automatically deducted when the customer selects that payment option.
