How to solve the authorization failure and unavailability of shipping methods using ELEX EasyPost (FedEx, UPS, Canada Post & USPS) Shipping & Label Printing Plugin for WooCommerce?
This article intends to provide a solution if you have encountered authorization failure and unavailability of shipping methods from EasyPost using ELEX EasyPost (FedEx, UPS, Canada Post & USPS) Shipping & Label Printing Plugin for WooCommerce.
The scenarios could be as follows:
- You have set up EasyPost API key, turned on Real-time rates, enabled it on live mode, added all sender credentials for USPS, UPS, FedEx or, Canada Post. But when you try to do a test order it may display: “There are no shipping methods available. Please double check your address, or contact us if you need any help.”.
- And sometimes, EasyPost may not calculate the shipping like it usually does. EasyPost may return a message as “Unable to get rates: Unable to access the requested resource, authorization failed.”
These errors appear when the EasyPost API key is not correct as it says authorization failed. So please verify your EasyPost API key and define it in our plugin or kindly contact EasyPost team and check the API key. Hence, enter the correct API Key.

Also, check whether the API key that you are using is for the test or live mode as if you are using the live API key in test mode or vice versa then you will get the same error message.

I have the same problem.I followed the setup guide step by step,copied and pasted the API (test) from Easypost to the plugin under TEST mode,but nothing….I get the same error message.I messaged Easypost as well they say the API is correct.
If your API key is correct, then it could be because of the shipping service for the destination address. Please check if the selected shipping carrier provides shipping service to the destination zip code. Check for multiple addresses to confirm.
