  1. Google Address Autocomplete:

To activate Google Address Autocomplete, follow these steps:

 Google Cloud Console Setup:

  •    Register your account on the Google Cloud Console.
  •    Create a new project from the console dashboard.

Enable APIs:

  •    Navigate to API & Services.
  •    Activate both the Maps JavaScript API and Places API.

Create the Credentials:

  • Navigate to API Keys & Services and select “Credentials.”
  • Click “Create credentials” and choose “API key.”
  • Your newly generated API key will be displayed in a dialogue.

API Restriction: After creating the credentials, proceed as follows:

  • Click on the “Edit” button.
  • Choose “None” for application restrictions.
  • Click on “Restrict Key” for API restrictions.

Billing Information: Ensure you’ve added billing and payment details for uninterrupted service.

  1. Address Finder API 

If you possess AddressFinder API keys, you can activate the autocomplete feature specifically for Australian addresses using the AddressFinder (Australia) option. Additionally, the AddressFinder autocomplete feature is accessible for other countries, listed below:

Belgium, Canada, Czechia, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States.

  1. UPS

Our plugin offers two UPS API integrations for address validation. Upon selecting the UPS option, the following settings are presented:

UPS OAuth Integration – Enter your UPS credentials in the respective fields. If you do not have these credentials, register with UPS. Once you have logged in to your UPS account with your credentials, request an OAuth2.0 access.

UPS Access key Integration – Enter your UPS credentials in the respective fields. If you are an existing UPS old integration user then log in to your UPS account to get the Username, Password, and API key.

Note – From June 2023, UPS is not issuing new API access keys. UPS has implemented an OAuth 2.0 security model for all APIs that has replaced access keys with a client ID and client secret for authentication. New OAuth credentials must be created on the UPS Developer Portal.

  1. USPS Address Validation

    – The address validation setting for USPS is shown in the screenshot below.

USPS User ID – To access USPS APIs, you need to register for a USPS account. After successful registration, you’ll receive the User ID which you need to enter in this field.

Note – Please ensure to enable the USPS address validation API on the USPS user ID including the city/state and zip code lookup.

  1. EasyPost API Key

    – EasyPost API for address verification can improve the overall deliverability of your packages, acting as a safeguard against errors that send packages awry. With EasyPost, you can get instant access to domestic and international address verification.

Enter your EasyPost API key in this field. To get your API key, please sign up for the EasyPost account. Or visit Address Verification API, to know more about EasyPost address validation.

  1. Address finder API

    – AddressFinder validates Australia and New Zealand street addresses. After selecting this from the drop-down menu, enter the following details on the API Credentials tab.

Addressfinder License Key – To access the Addressfinder License Key, you need to register for an Addressfinder account. After successful registration, you’ll receive the license key that you need to enter in this field.

AddressFinder Business Account – Enable this option to access advanced features and benefits tailored for commercial use. Enhance your address autocomplete and validation capabilities for a seamless user experience.

AddressFinder Secret Key – Enter your unique secret key associated with your AddressFinder Business Account. This key ensures secure API access, allowing your plugin to authenticate and utilize the address autocomplete and validation services provided by AddressFinder.

Country-Specific Recommendations:

  • US: Choose UPS for address validation in the United States and Puerto Rico, or USPS for broader coverage within the US.
  • Australia and New Zealand: AddressFinder is the recommended choice.
  • Global: EasyPost offers address validation for a wide range of countries.
