How to Create a Callback Request Button on your WooCommerce store?
Here let’s see two options for creating a callback request button on your WooCommerce store.
Method 1: Manually Add the Call button option to your website
To do the same, you can simply add an HTML code in the page settings as shown in the image below:
The HTML code used is:
<a href="tel:+15555551212">+1 (555) 555-1212</a> <a href="tel:15555551212">Call Me</a>
Upon saving the page settings, the page looks like as shown in the image below:
This option, when opened on mobile phones or any other devices, the customer can even make a call using it. You can make it even more appealing by using images or call to action buttons etc.
Method 2: Creating a Callback Request using a plugin
If you are not a code-savvy person, then this option works well for you. To create a callback request button on your WooCommerce store, you can simply make use of the ELEX WooCommerce Request a Quote Plugin (Free).
Here are the steps to be followed to create a callback request button on your WooCommerce store:
- Firstly download and install the ELEX WooCommerce Request a Quote free plugin.
- Design your own Callback Request Button page.
- Configure the form settings for the customer to place the request.
- Set up the notifications for the requests.
- Publish the form and get started.
Now let’s go into detail.
Download and Install the plugin
You can easily download and install the plugin on your WooCommerce store.
Configure the plugin settings
Once the plugin is installed you can customize the plugin as per your business needs. To do the same, go to the plugin settings via WooCommerce Dashboard > Plugins > Installed Plugins > ELEX WooCommerce Request a Quote Plugin> Settings. You will see the plugin settings as shown in the image below:
Here, you can set the button text as per your choice. For example, you can keep it as “Request a Call Back” or “Request a Quote” etc. You can also choose the button colour as shown in the image below.
Also, you can provide a button action as shown in the image below.
Two possible button actions here are as follows:
#1. Open Request a Quote Page
#2. Open in a Lightbox
When you choose the first option you can open up the form request page as a separate window. Here when the Request a Quote button is clicked, a hypertext appears alongside the Request a Quote button. On clicking the hypertext, the customer is navigated to the form page without many hassles.
In the second option ‘Open in a Lightbox’, you can create a popup window option, to open up without leaving the page. Here, upon selecting the lightbox option, you can create the dimensions for the popup window appropriately.
When done, the popup window will look like this as shown below:
Here in our case, we can include a form for the customers to fill in the data to let the store owner contact the customers.
Again before we move ahead to the form settings, we need to create a page to display the form. As usual, you can simply create the same using the normal WordPress page creation option and providing the shortcode “[elex_quote_request_list]”. Once the page is created, you can choose the page in the plugin settings. The page you choose is the page that appears when the Request a Quote is clicked.
Design the form for customers to fill
Now the next thing to be done is to create a form for the users to fill in on your store page. Here the plugin facilitates the creation of forms by adding required fields easily. Always ensure that you collect the necessary details.
As per your choice, you can design the form. You need to ensure you have the basic and important fields in the form, such as Name, Email, Phone etc. Once done, you can get a form as shown in the image below:
Set up Notification Settings
To make sure you don’t miss out on any customer enquiry placed, you can ensure that you set up the notifications for every request arriving in your store. To do so, you can enable the same in the Notification Settings in the plugin as shown in the image below:
Here, by default, the email address is the store admin email address. Whenever a callback request is submitted by a customer, the store admin will receive an email notification
Now if you want to notify the customers upon the change in the request status, you can also set the same using the plugin Notification Settings.
Here you can choose which all order statuses you wish to choose to enable notifications as shown below:
Again on doing so, whenever the request status is changed or modified, the customer gets a notification from the website.
Create a Callback Request option and augment your customer base
Customers always prefer to be connected where they are valued. Never miss out on an opportunity to connect with your customers even when you are away for a break. Make use of the callback request option and never run out of customers for your store.
