Frequently Asked Questions: ELEX WooCommerce USPS Shipping

Q1: Why does First Class Shipping option not show up?

Ans: According to USPS, First Class shipping option can be used up to 13 ounces. If the product is weighing more than 13 ounces, USPS API does not return First Class Shipping option.

Note: The weight limit for First-Class Mail – Flats (Large Envelopes) is 13 oz., but eVS does not support First Class Mail Flats. The weight limit for a First-Class Package Service (FCPS) parcel is 15.999 oz.

Q2: Is there any way that I can remove the library and media mail shipping options since I do not sell Items which needs library and media mail?

Ans: In the premium version of the plugin, you can enable/disable the services in the plugin settings as per your business requirement.

Q3: I am not able to print shipping labels. I get an error stating that the webtoolsID does not have the print label permission through eVS.

Ans: To be able to print a shipping label, you need to have the Click N’ ship Business pro account and configure eVS to receive make the payment. You need to ship 50 packages per day to be eligible to have that type of account. If you’re not eligible, you can use our ELEX WooCommerce Stamps.com or ELEX WooCommerce EasyPost shipping plugins instead.

Q4: The shipping cost in the cart is slightly lesser than the cost we have to pay to USPS. Why?

Ans: This happens when you have the commercial rates displayed in the shop. You can change the plugin settings to display the retail rates by offer shipping type as “Offline” and rates type as “Retail Rates”.
