The international shipping document of Australia Post contains four labels. The first one needs to be attached to the shipment. Another one is to be provided to Australia Post. The third one will be for Customs, and a fourth copy is for the sender.

Printing International Shipping Labels

To print international shipping labels, you need to enter all required details that you would for a domestic shipment in the Label Printing tab. These include the choice of file format, options for insurance and estimated delivery date. You can also set the default option for bulk shipment generation. You also need to enter the origin address, and if necessary, an alternate return address. For international shipping, you need to enter the customs description in the designated field for that.

Here is an example of how to set label printing on the ELEX EasyPost Shipping Plugin. Here, on the plugin settings page, there is an option for Customs description.

When you receive an order, you can go to the order details page and generate shipments by clicking the Create Shipment button.

Once the shipment is generated, you can click the Print Label button to open the shipping label.

The generated label will include the customs description that you have entered in Label Generation settings. If connected to a printer you can print it directly, or else, choose to print later.
