ELEX Stamps.com USPS plugin, does it require a SOAP server?

Customer:

On the stamp.com plugin, does it require a SOAP server?

Support:

Our Stamps.com plugin uses SOAP as a communication protocol.
SOAP is the commonly used protocol used by all the service provider.
Hence, it requires a SOAP server.

Customer:

Do I have to install it on the backend of the PHP or does the plugin automatically have it? I have no experience in the SOAP server, so I am hoping you could help me if I have to install it manually.

Support:

SOAP should be available by default in most of the server.
You need to contact your hosting service provider for that.

Customer:

I get this message when the debug is on…. is there anything I need to worry about or change?

Stamps.com – Unable to Get Rates: Invalid SOAP message due to XML Schema validation failure. The ‘http://stamps.com/xml/namespace/2015/05/swsim/swsimv45:ToZIPCode’ element is invalid – The value ” is invalid according to its datatype ‘http://stamps.com/xml/namespace/2015/05/swsim/swsimv45:string-3-10’ – The actual length is less than the MinLength value.

Support:

We do not advise installing SOAP server by yourself since it is specific to the hosting service.

We request you to contact your hosting service provider and let them know about the problem.

Support:

We tried to replicate the issue. Currently, the rates are coming for us as attached in the screenshot.
We request you to clear your cache and then try again. It may be a cache issue from your end.
